Pros:
The CADA C63008 Blazing Flame is an impressive set that really stands out in terms of looks and build quality. One of the first things you’ll notice is how sturdy the model is. You can pick it up without any parts falling off or moving around, something that’s not always guaranteed with similar sets.
I especially appreciate that the set uses proper mudguard pieces instead of flexible hoses around the wheels; it looks much cleaner and more realistic.
The design closely resembles the real car it’s based on, with no obvious flaws or inaccuracies. The wheels are especially well done, with a design that matches the real-life version very closely. You can tell a lot of care went into making this model look as accurate as possible.
From a building perspective, the set is very well thought out. There are no awkward steps that require bending parts or doing strange tricks, everything fits together smoothly and intuitively.
Cons:
There are a few drawbacks, though. Most notably, the car sits quite high off the ground, especially in the front, which doesn’t match the stance of the real car. I made a small modification to lower it slightly (see photos), but even with that change, it still sits noticeably higher than the real car.
Another issue is with the door design. In the original build, the door flexes a little bit, but I made a small change so that it now sits perfectly without any tension; also visible in the photos.
The sticker placement instructions are poorly designed. The manual tells you to place the stickers at the very end, which is almost impossible in practice. Ideally, stickers should be applied during the build while the surfaces are still accessible.
The stickers themselves are also difficult to apply accurately. The margins are extremely tight, less than half a millimeter, so you need to be very precise. I managed to get them on with only one small mistake, but it requires a steady hand.
Sadly, the set has no official license, which means some of the sticker details are off. The "49" number in particular feels out of place and detracts from the realism.
Also worth noting: the car is a single-seater with the seat centered, while the real car has the seat and steering wheel on the left. Not a big issue, but it does take away from the authenticity.
Finally, the rear engine cover cannot be removed, so once the build is complete, the engine is no longer visible. And the flex tube used for the rear light is just slightly too short, it barely connects on both sides.
Verdict:
The CADA C63008 Blazing Flame is a visually striking set that does very little wrong. If you like the way it looks, you should definitely get it. It doesn’t offer a particularly unique building experience, but the end result is fantastic. With a few small tweaks, you can turn it into an outstanding display piece. Highly recommended for sports car fans.
As someone who’s followed Le Mans for years, having this 787B model feels special. It’s well-engineered and sturdy, and you can tell it was designed with passion. I’m already looking forward to more CaDA racing sets.
As a long-time F1 model collector, this CaDA remote control car stands out with its unique design and functionality—unlike LEGO, it's built for action. It brings real racetrack thrills into my living room, and my friends are all amazed.
This release is a beauty! I’m sure everything had to be at a certain level for Mercedes and AMG to officially license this.Hopefully CaDA will do another release in the Masters Series. Can’t wait to start this one!
I bought this for my brother who’s a huge endurance racing fan, and he couldn’t stop smiling. The build is complex enough to be engaging, and the finished car looks incredible. He proudly added it to his collection.
