Built the excavator with my 4 year old and he loves it! Building the crane now, and the little blue tool makes it super easy for him to push the pieces and joining rods together.
The instructions are very concise, easy to understand and break it all down into super easy chunks to follow.

The way it's put together in bags is completely insane and makes trying to put it together impossible. It is worth paying three times more to get Legos. This is primarily for a 8-year-old, and while I can help them with it, it's way too much for him alone whereas he can do an equivalent Lego set by himself
