Really great looking model and I LOVE the subject matter. It's great to have a fully licensed Mazda 787B and I think the CaDA design team captured the look very well and the price is very good.
The build is straightforward, but enjoyable, and I really appreciate the windshield in a bag to prevent scratches.
The big downside is the stickers. The quality is great, but placing stickers over assembled pieces is never fun and this set does it A LOT. Also putting the windshield sticker on was very very challenging. I wouldn't mind paying a few extra dollars for some printed parts.
Overall a great set with room for improvement.
Just finished this little beauty here! The model is pretty accurate, with some nice building connections. In my opinion there are only 2 main defects: the blue of stickers doesn't match the blue of some pieces; the rear wheels are not attached in a secure way: just a little pressure on the rear and they fell off...
Anyway, the model looks great and I'm happy with it! 🤩
Superb bricks, perfect instructions, nice build. Placing all the stickers on this little car is punishment. Please CaDA, start using prints.
As an older adult, I only recently got back into building block sets. I have built a couple Lego speed champions, and was very frustrated at how all the parts fall off every time you touch. The CADA was fun to build and is sturdy. You can pick it up and nothing falls off. I have also built kits from power block, Insoon and Lumibricks. This was top notch.
And ride
I love this car, a Le Mons winner. My only wish would be if it was the orange and green color scheme.
the car was shipped fast, well packed, and arrived on time.
almost but without place for mining
The Le Mans-winning Mazda 787 is a legendary car. in the panorama of 8-stud wide cars, an exponent of group C was missing, when the prototype world championship was followed almost as much as F1. we hope that CaDa will also offer cars from Nissan, Jaguar, Porsche, Toyota, Peugeot and Mercedes from Group C
I am very happy with the finished product, and the build process was enjoyable. My only gripe is with the stickers. On the windshield, the white parts become gray once applied, and lining up stickers in general is typically quite tedious. I have seen CaDa's Kick Sauber F1 car set, where all the details are printed, and it looks magnificant. If CaDa were to re-release this set, whether it's with a different color scheme, or even sticking with this one, I would be willing to buy this set again, if the details were all printed, as opposed to stickers. Overall I am quite happy with this set, and am looking forward to what CaDa brings us in the future.
This thing is amazing and fun to build would be great they do a hole collection of them to collect
Hi, it's perfect to me. For this pice is very rich set.
Great model! Parts fit really well and wonderful final model.
This is probably the best Speed Champions size car I own. It's amazing. Yes it has stickers but they make it look great. I always pre-glue them with Pritt Stick type for extra long term purchase. People really need to get over the sticker thing and realise it would be a lot more expensive for companies to print everything. If they don't want any stickers they can buy die-cast models. It really isn't the worst thing ever. After all, we are building the car at the end of the day! Stunning version of a legendary car. An absolute must have! PS The car is not fragile at all in my experience.
Had a great time assembling it, just be careful when putting on the canopy stickers, as it’s pretty easy to leave fingerprints on
CaDA MAZDA 787B (#18) 1991 C55029W
Very good
Good quality
I really like the unique look of this car. The build is straightforward, only 4 stars because of the multi-part stickering.
Building this was a rollercoaster, but overall a positive rollercoaster.
Let start with the positive: 1) the snap of the bricks is almost identical to LEGO bricks. 2) the wheels look amazing 3) the overall shaping of the car is good 4) cool brickbuild details using non-LEGO (self designed) parts and techniques that would never pass LEGO QA. Then for the less good stuff 1) stickers are applied over multiple bricks, making deconstruction and reuse a pain 2) the canopy sticker is not as advertised. The color difference is huge. 3) while on stickers, the colors of the stickers vary and do not meet the advertised quality.
Overall a 'better than expected' experience when paying 20 bucks for a non-LEGO car.
The model is a very good representation of the original with some good details, and a nice model to have on the shelf.
Build experience is good, and for people used to LEGO there are some surprises, since CaDA has quite a few pieces in their assortment that dont exist in LEGO - e.g. the 1x2 plate with studs on both sides is a very useful piece to have.
The finished model looks great, except for the grey instead of white cockpit area, and the blue accents done with a combo of pieces and stickers (color match on the stickers are not perfect - specially the supposed opacity of the white on the transparent stickers suffer). Some of the stickers cover multiple pieces - something LEGO stopped doing more than 10 years ago.
- Score: 8 of 10 (the transparent white windscreen stickers detracts from the score, otherwise it would have been a solid 9)
I like the model and am glad that i bought it. I can recommend it to everybody who likes to build stuff, except for the hardcore LEGO purists: this is not LEGO, stay away from it - but then you'll never know what you have missed :)
Really good quality product arrived within a few and good building experience will be purchasing from here again
Love race Car
First CaDA 8 stud kit I've built and it was a lovely kit to build. A couple of pieces had minor inclusions of what appears to be plastic "dust" but they all were covered by another piece or a sticker so wasn't a huge problem. Half a star off for that. Not one missing piece, and not one additional piece either. Instructions were clear and precise, but you must be careful as they add a lot more pieces per page then the major competitor. I have a love/hate relationship with stickers. They add a lot of detail but can be fussy and white over transparent never covers well. But at this price point I don't expect pad printing. The print quality of the stickers is good. Thin enough to wrap around curves and an aggressive adhesive. One burnished down, they will be a fight to get off. Overall a very pleasant build of one of my favourite race cars, and fits perfectly with my Speed Champions collection. A 1:10 scale in the original livery would be awesome! Since I can't do 4.5 stars, it gets rounded up to 5.
Excellent set. High quality parts and stickers. Awesome replica of the real car. Please make more cars...different liveries and more variety in the same scale. Would be nice to include a minifigure. You give Lego a run for their money, same quality for half the price
I am incredibly impressed with how well this product is. From the details when building to the stickers. Truly an amazing set for the price. I’m looking at getting a technics set soon. I can guarantee the quality will be 10/10.
