I would definitely do not buy this for a child. It's the most finicky building I've ever seen. The building instructions do not help either, I had to change the building order, or parts just break in your hands. Definitely something you build once and never touch again or it will fall apart. Too many stickers above multiple bricks too. As a positive, many different pieces, unconventional to build, great for display. If you have nerves of steel, and like the design, and have the others from the series (they are better)... then this is a good addition.
I also had one missing piece, but quite a few extra pieces. Also some small molding defects, that I haven't seen in my other sets.
