I can't say that I particularly enjoyed the building experience. The building process definitely wasn't relaxing or meditative for me - in fact, I found myself having to concentrate quite a lot throughout the build. However, the final result is really impressive, especially once everything is working and motorized.
What disappointed me the most was the quality of some of the parts, specifically part JH90560001.
Two of these parts failed under the load from the motor. My very first test drive of the completed model was unsuccessful: the part broke immediately when I tried to drive the car, and the car didn't even move.
I built the model as 2WD, so I had two spare pieces of this part. Unfortunately, the second one broke in exactly the same way during the next test. Only the last spare part worked properly, and the car finally drove normally.
This strongly suggests that the problem was with the parts themselves rather than with my assembly, since the exact same component failed twice and the final replacement worked without any issues.
For a model at this price point, I really think the quality control should be significantly better. Having two identical drivetrain parts fail immediately during the very first test of a newly completed model is very disappointing.
The final model is impressive, but the experience would have been much better if the parts quality had been more reliable.
This was one of the most satisfying brick models I have ever built. It is challenging enough to stay interesting without becoming frustrating. The suspension, engine area and body lines are beautifully designed. The finished model feels sturdy and makes an excellent display piece. I would absolutely buy another model from CaDA.
I have built quite a few supercar models and this Mercedes-AMG ONE is easily one of the best. The body shape looks very accurate and the aerodynamic details are impressive. Building it took several evenings and every step was enjoyable. Once finished, it feels solid and looks fantastic from every angle. It has quickly become the centerpiece of my collection.
I can only give 5 Stars 😁. Yeah what can I say about a good product ? Build was a little bit challenging with all those cables but in the end very awarding
The Mercedes AMG One was my first CADA build with and it was a pleasure from start to finish. Even the packaging was impressive, refined, and exudes quality. The build itself was announced as being difficult, and I can confirm that you shouldn't deviate from the instructions and It's best to work the wiring as neatly and cleanly as possible, as space is limited. I chose the 2WD version because the steering is then "a bit" more flexible. I omitted the two stoppers in the steering system, which created extra room for manoeuvring. It was the most fun build I've ever done (till now), and I'm looking forward to future CADA builds. With my experience with the Mercedes One AMG, I believe the bar is set high for finding better. A satisfying and fun project indeed..
This release is a beauty! I’m sure everything had to be at a certain level for Mercedes and AMG to officially license this.Hopefully CaDA will do another release in the Masters Series. Can’t wait to start this one!
After roughly 16 hours of building, it’s finally complete.
Some connections were tricky to pull off and some steps made zero sense, however the overall results look stunning.
There was one missing piece (arm for the brake caliper) but with the replacement part program, I’m not worried.
Overall, I would recommend this model to anyone
The set is great, with a great attention to details. I don't usually buy motorized sets, but in this one the motorization replicates the real features of the car, like the double electric motor or the KERS replicated by the pullback motor.
The set also has no stickers, which only printed parts. I highly recommend this set
Great version for professionals .. Lots of details .. Needs focus and patience
Special stickers added .. Built in 7 days .. Other products purchased from the site and will build them soon
Here are some pics of my 16 year old daughter build. She said it was more challenging than the CADA yellow Ferrari that she had built in the past. We made some Mods from the yellow calipers. The brick calipers that CADA used were rubbing against the inner rims. So we found Brembo calipers online which has more clearance. Also the front suspension had no suspension because the front was heavy, so we took apart the front suspension and slightly stretched the spring to give it more strength which worked perfectly. She also removed the steering stoppers to have more steering movement , she kept the Allwheel drive setup with no issues of the drive axle coming off. We just received her new build which is the CADA Alfa Romeo F1 which is now Discontinued from CADA. I will Post pictures when done. Thanks Again CADA for another great car. It keeps my daughter busy from her school break
Somewhat skeptical buying off Lego brand since I'm a newbee to the hobby. This is my third "super car" build and first from CaDA, I couldn't be happier with the quality. The packaging was way beyond expectations. Numbered boxes and great graphics. Numbered bags inside and clear directions is making this the most fun build I've had yet. Love how many pieces and how complicated the build is. Exactly what I was looking for.
