This is a dense and complex build, but getting the parts count and functions of a 1:8 model in a 1:10 package is a real treat. Everything works as intended, although the gearbox has a lot of friction in low gears. Linking the rear wing deployment to the ride height is a great feature, and I had no issues with parts quality, with the only area needing some modification being the loosely attached system elements above the front fenders (the designer's original solution here is better). The external shaping and proportions are also far more accurate than the competition's larger (and more expensive) model, while the excellent wheel hubs/rims with directional tires are also very nice.
Red is faster :)
I will start off by saying that I have already built and purchased the Viva Hypercar set from the master collection and I cannot stop admiring its engineering and design work that is woven throughout. I feel the same care and designed greatness was carried over to this model, with clever building solutions and uses of angle structures allowing for great aesthetics with the body sculpture. I feel as though this review is a bit wordy so I will do a pros and cons based on my experience. Pros- Great and clean design, clever design solutions, lots of functionality through systems like the gearbox (doesn’t really work but very interesting), fast shipping (for Australia) Cons- quality of parts, building complexity, unclear instructions at times, not particularly solid (due to quality). Overall in terms of quality Cada is a step below the competition however for display purposes it is up to par with the standard.
I personally would probably not recommend for new builders but if you’re up for a challenge and a good final product; this is a pretty solid set. (In my opinion)
The assembly took place with difficulty. The car is beautiful when finished. On the other hand, there are improvements to be made... The door opening system is poorly designed and not solid. The transmission and gearbox work, as does the steering. Too many small parts, and the whole thing is not solid. The price of the vehicle overall is correct but the quality is minimalist. The competition does much better!
Overall, a good build, functions work well and are in place. The bodywork could be connected better, examples are the back near the engine cover, you kind of have to bend it in place to make it flush, and the bodywork on the front could connect to the front of the dashboard to secure it more since it kind of rides high above where the doors would connect. The area below the headlights could be walled off if possible. Most of my complaints are minimal and still giving 5 stars as it is a satisfying build up until some repetitive body (classic).
Good building experience taking into account 1:10 scale with a very compact design . In some cases it´s difficult to properly identify some parts in the manual so I needed to dismount some parts and go back because it wasn´t enough clear . Some pieces don't fit tightly. Despite all these minor contras the model and the design was superb
very well thought out, I recommend it to my friends
Really a master piece again. Very good design combined with a fair price and super quality.
Puting it together was great fun!
This would have to be one of my most favourite builds. The design of each section was complicated yet it came together easily. The build was fun and exciting and I thoroughly enjoyed the experinece and highly recommend this build to anyone wanting a challenge. Great job CaDa. Thank you.
