The set is fine, very solid build. It doesn't include any function apart from the regular ones (engine, steering, suspensions) but it's nice that it can be optionally motorized. The front suspension sits too high, and requires modification to lower the ride height (tried putting a battery box on the front and still sits too high, so that's not the problem).
It relies a lot on stickers, but since it's based on a real WEC car I applied just the ones that are not branded, and will wait to get custom ones to replicate the real livery.
The build process is straightforward, I'd say that the most interesting steps were for the front and the rear of the car, while the rest of the build was really boring. I wish the set tried to replicate more faithfully the cockpit area, instead it features the same cockpit as the old C61016 which positions (incorrectly) the driver at the center of the cockpit.
Also, it's nice that the model can be optionally motorized, but the C61016 already did so and yet included cool features such as motorized doors and engine cover. I wish that they added some extra functionality so that the model has something interesting also in its static variant.
Overall I'd say that the set is a bit lazy, and for what it offers the price is a bit too high. If you can find it discounted at about 80€ then it's a best buy.
It looks nice and the basic functions all work, but the set has some flaws. The front suspension sits too high (absent any battery box to weigh it down), and (without motors) there is also a very noticeable hole in the cockpit floor. I also ended up redesigning the doors and forward cockpit roof for better look and function. Unfortunately there's no access to the engine bay and the set is rather reliant on stickers. I'm also still waiting on a replacement part for the rear rigid hose which is too short to connect as intended. Overall I found the RUF GT set to be a superior build and more polished design at the same price point, however this model is quite sturdy and accurate, and does look good on display.
